Leading students to trust and follow Christ by equipping them to live a life of worship, life in community and life on mission.

Student Ministry

We want to provide a family environment where students find Christian fellowship with other

students and with older men and women who have a heart for the next generation. We desire to call each student into an eager and faithful relationship with Jesus Christ and to empower parents/guardians to be the primary disciplers of their teenagers. Students will be led to follow Christ through the teaching of the word of God, fellowship with other believers, and engaging in evangelism and service.

A Life Of Worship

The students at MacArthur Blvd worship with their families on Sunday mornings in the Worship Gathering. We value teenagers worshipping with their families since parents are called to be the primary faith influencers in the lives of their children. Within the Worship Gathering, our church family hears the word of God through singing and preaching. It is here that students are exhorted to respond to the revelation of God with all they are—mind, emotion, and will—launching them into a life of worship throughout the week.

We also have a student-led praise team that leads worship through singing during our Sunday night student Overflow service, which enables students with musical gifting to exercise those gifts to lead others in worship.

A Life In Community

Community Groups for students are a small group ministry where students develop Christian relationships through word-based fellowship and prayer. The goal of Community Groups is to equip our students to live their lives in the context of Christian community. Community Groups are led by godly men and women who facilitate small groups that walk through books of the Bible on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m.

We always welcome visitors to student Community Groups! Just make your way to the Student Assembly room. Students may prefer to park near the bridge entrance on the back side of the parking lot. If you would like additional information about Community Groups, please contact Enoch Chan directly at echan@mbbcirving.org.

A Life On Mission

Overflow is a service for students on Sunday nights at 6:00 p.m. where we gather to sing, fellowship, have fun, and study the word of God in depth. Overflow exists to equip our students to live a life on mission for God. We equip our students in the areas of Christian doctrine, world views, ethics, world religions, and evangelism. Overflow is a place of teaching, equipping, and practice. Students in Overflow will have opportunities each month to engage the community with the gospel through evangelism and service. Visitors are always welcome, just come on up to the Student Assembly on Sundays at 6:00 p.m.

Overflow also has an in-depth discipleship component. Discipleship 6 is a six-year comprehensive study grounded in Scripture, covering: apologetics, biblical interpretation, biblical relationships, Christian doctrine, ethics, evangelism/missions, servant leadership, spiritual disciplines, and world views (disciple6.com).
