We are excited to once again host a marriage conference on April 29-30, 2022! This is a great opportunity to invest in your marriage and seek the Lord together.

The conference cost is $40/couple (or $20 for an individual), and dinner will be provided on Friday evening. The conference is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening and go through 2:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. On Saturday, breakfast items will be provided, and couples will have allocated time to go out to lunch together. Childcare will be provided for children birth – 5th grade. Our speakers for this year’s conference are Dr. Nicolas Ellen and his wife Dr. Venessa Ellen. Dr. Nicolas Ellen is the Senior Pastor of Community of Faith Bible Church in Houston Texas and Senior Professor of Biblical Counseling at the College of Biblical Studies. Dr. Ellen has also developed a biblical counseling training center called Expository Counseling Center LLC.
He received his B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Houston, Houston, Texas, his M.A. in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary, Dallas, Texas, his M.A. in Biblical Counseling from The Masters University, Santa Clarita, California, his Doctorate of Ministry with a concentration in Biblical Counseling from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary Louisville, Kentucky and his Ph.D. in Biblical Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas.
Dr. Ellen is a certified Biblical Counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), a Fellow with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) and travels nationwide with the organization teaching biblical counseling principles. In addition, he is also a Senior Member of the Biblical Counseling Framework Association. Dr. Ellen and his wife Dr. Venessa Ellen have two children and four grandchildren.
A native of Beaumont, Texas, Dr. Venessa Ellen surrendered her life to Christ and to His call to serve His Kingdom in the 90’s. Dr. Ellen holds the following degrees: M.A. in Biblical Counseling from The Master’s College, M.A. in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a PhD in Church Administration and Women’s Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas. She serves as the Chair and Professor of Women’s Ministry and Program Coordinator at the College of Biblical Studies where she teaches, counsels, trains and mentors women.
For more than 21 years, Dr. Ellen has communicated her burden for the women of God in conferences, seminars, bible studies and retreats. She has utilized her gifts and talents in the areas of teaching, counseling, training and mentoring women. More specifically, she has taught, counseled and trained women in the areas of praying, worshipping, fasting, confessing and repenting of sin, renewing the mind, studying applying the Bible to their personal lives, managing their time, resolving conflict biblically, relating to one another as God has designed, and honoring, respecting and submitting to God given authorities.
