Description:
God loves using weak people with the fewest credentials to accomplish the most amazing things in His kingdom. This is exactly what Jesus does with the woman at the well. She was a woman living in a society that gave women no voice. She was a Samaritan who had misunderstood the true worship of God. She was a promiscuous sinner, with whom no one wanted to be seen. She was the instrument God used to lead the entire village of Sychar to Christ. And she did this while Jesus’ own disciples could not stop thinking about lunch. This story in John 4:27-42 is a call for disciples to get their eyes off of earthly pursuits and onto Jesus’ global mission. Our life work is to join Jesus in His work of harvesting a people for the Father.
