Encouraging women to trust and follow Christ, sharing life experiences and living for Him.
Women’s Ministry
We aim to be a diverse community of women that delights in God first as we develop and deploy every woman to make disciples who make disciples. The Women’s Ministry organizes events throughout the year to help you on this journey.
COMMUNITY GROUPS
If you are not yet connected to a Community Group, we have a variety of groups that meet throughout the week, which you can explore here. If you are interested in a womens-only group, which meets at Thursdays @ 6:30 p.m., please reach out to ktayne@mbbcirving.org to get connected.
3RD TUESDAYS WOMEN’S COLLECTIVE
This year, we will be hosting our Women’s Collective on the 3rd Tuesday of September, October, January, February, March and April. We will cover a variety of topics together as we learn from women within our church body. Meetings are planned for 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Hospitality Room.
October 17: Stewarding Your Calendar. Please register and sign up for childcare if needed. We also invite you to bring your dinner with you to the event if you don’t have a chance to eat before.
BIBLE STUDIES
This fall, we are offering in-person and online options to go through the Bible study “When You Pray, a Study of Six Prayers in the Bible.”
Register for an in-person group here (starting Sept. 25/26) or online group here (starting October 2).
SPIRITUAL MOTHERING
As Christian women, we are entrusted with the joyful and painful life-giving ministry of mothering, whether it is our children, grandchildren or others God has brought into our lives. In the coming year, we will dive deep into God’s Word and discuss a variety of topics unique to the high calling of motherhood on select Sunday evenings from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
October 1: Divine Authority: Understanding the Purpose and Source of the Divine Authority we have been given as mothers and exercising it rightly within our homes. Please register and sign up for childcare if needed.
CHRISTMAS DINNER
We host an annual women’s Christmas dinner, a festive evening meant to focus our hearts on Christ during the busy holiday season. We share a meal, sing Christmas carols and hear an encouraging word from a guest speaker. Stay tuned for details on the 2023 dinner on December 5th!
HANDYMAN MINISTRY
We have a group of men from MacArthur who have offered to help with various projects for widows and single women within our church as needed. If you have a need for something around your home and would like to see if our church family can help, please reach out to Linda Phillips or contact the church office at info@mbbcirving.org or call 972-373-9833.
