Explore the videos and opportunities below, then pray to discern where you might serve. It is an honor, privilege, and responsibility to serve the Lord through the local church, and we desire for every member to find his or her place to serve.

If you are interested in serving in one of our Next-Gen ministries (preschool, children or students), please complete this Next-Gen volunteering interest form. For all other ministries, please use this interest form. After completing one of the forms, someone from our staff will be in touch to help get you connected.

Preschool Shepherd Leaders – Shepherd preschoolers in Community Groups on a weekly basis. Lay foundations in preschoolers’ lives creating a loving and secure environment and help them learn foundational biblical truths. [9:00 a.m.; weekly]

Children Shepherd Leaders – Shepherd children in Community Groups on a weekly basis. Encourage children to develop Christ-centered relationships around the Word of God through The Gospel Project curriculum and prayer. [9:00 a.m.; weekly]

Preschool Worship Care – Care for children (birth through Pre-K) during 10:30 a.m. service. [once every other month (six times a year)]

Awana – Be a group leader, game time assistant, or missions leader. Help children (3-year-olds through 5th grade) complete scripture memory while learning what it means to live a life on Mission. [Sundays, 6:00-7:30 p.m.; September–May, weekly]

Special Needs Support – Minister to a preschooler, child, or student with special needs as they attend their Community Group or support their family during the service.

Preschool, Children, and Student Volunteers:
If you sign up to serve in one of these areas, you will receive an additional Volunteer Application to fill out, a Background Check will be completed, and you will receive Child Protection Training prior to serving.

Parking Lot/Door Greeters – Offer directions and assistance in the parking lot or offer a friendly welcome to people as they arrive inside. [rotating schedule]

Next Step Desk – Offer information to answer questions or provide directions. [rotating schedule]

Coffee Bar – Help make, replenish and clean coffee bar. [8:15-9:00 or 10:00-10:45; rotating schedule]

Ushers – Men & women who welcome and assist people in finding seats in the Sanctuary. [10:30 a.m.; rotating schedule]

Baptism Make sure that all necessary baptismal equipment and facilities are available and ready prior to each baptismal service and perform necessary cleanup after the baptism. [as needed]

Special Church-Wide Events – Work with the pastors to plan and schedule Church-wide events, Semiannual Member Meetings, and the Ron Dunn Encourager Conference by setting tables, assisting with food service, and cleanup. [about 4 times/year]

Event Host/Hostess – Host member events at the church (baby showers, bridal showers, etc.). Open and close the building, answer questions and ensure the event runs smoothly. [as needed]

Prayer Partners

  • Pray with individuals as they come to the front of the sanctuary during the invitation portion of the service.
  • Partner with one of our students to pray with them on a consistent basis.
  • Generations prayer: senior members are partnered with younger members to pray together and for one another.
  • Barbara Bush Middle School: pray for students and the ministry.

Student Shepherd Leaders – Lead a student Community Group to trust and follow Christ by ministering the word, cultivating community among students, and working alongside parents. [9:00 a.m.; weekly]

Overflow Leader – Be present on a weekly basis to assist with programming and small groups. [Sundays, 6:00-7:30 p.m.; September–May, weekly]

Student Host Homes – Host events, sleepovers, Bible study or even provide food for certain events. [as needed]

Event Driver – Assist with driving students to their events. [as needed]

Preschool, Children, and Student Volunteers:

Member Care Team – Assist the pastors in contacting and pursuing members who have not been attending church. The goal is to do all we can to see that our members are faithfully attending, actively involved and walking with the Lord. [as needed]

Senior Adult Care Team – Regularly contact select Senior Adult members of our church who are unable to attend a Community Group to assure they are physically, emotionally, and spiritually well; you will make the Deacons aware of any needs. [as needed]

Marriage Mentor – Mentor couples within MacArthur Blvd who seek premarital, marriage enrichment, or marital crisis mentoring. Training is provided. [as needed]

Compassion/Benevolence – Serve as a Compassion Counselor or a Financial Coach. Work as a team to provide short-term assistance with long-term spiritual and financial freedom. The goal is that each candidate will know the Lord and walk faithfully with Him and understand Biblical stewardship principles. [as needed]

Valet Parking – Provide parking service at the main entrance before and after service. Valet attendants must be at least 18 years old. [9:00 or 10:30 a.m.; rotating schedule]

Bus Drivers – Drive people to and from local apartment complex and assisted living facility. [rotating schedule]

Safety Team – Provide a safe environment for members and guests to gather. [Sundays, Mondays (PM), or Wednesdays (PM); rotating schedule]

IT Team – Assist with technical needs of the church. [as needed]

Facilities Ministry – Work with the staff to maintain the building and grounds. [as needed]

Community Group Shepherd Leader – Lead an adult Community Group to trust and follow Christ by ministering the word to the group and leading them to live in community together. [weekly]

D-Group Leader – Lead a Discipleship Group, a gender-specific group of 3-5 people who meet regularly for prayer, accountability, and to discuss God’s word. Groups meet at different times of the week and in various locations. [weekly]

Women’s Ministry Leadership Team – Cultivate inter-generational discipleship among the women of MacArthur Blvd through personal discipleship and serving at women’s events.

Screens Operator – Run slides during services for songs and announcements. [10:30 a.m.; rotating schedule]

Lighting Operator – Provide proper lighting for services and special events. [10:30 a.m..; rotating schedule]

Camera Operator – Set up and video the services for the lobby and web live feed. [10:30 a.m.; rotating schedule]

Front of House Sound Tech – Mix the live audio elements of the service. [10:30 a.m.; rotating schedule]

Choir – Sing and help lead people to praise God. [as needed]

Orchestra & Band – Play an instrument in our Worship Gathering. [10:30 a.m.; twice a month + rehearsals]
